And So It Begins....

Hello world I hope this blog reaches everyone and anyone looking to put their delicious recipe on the market. To start in 2000 I began making salsa (or what I thought was salsa) at home for fun. After many of failed attempts I finally came upon an interesting concoction using red bell peppers and jalapenos. I have to admit it was unlike anything I had ever tasted it was FANTASTIC kinda one of those things that only happens once in a lifetime. So, there I had it a salsa I could call my own and the best novelty anyone could ask for. Over the next year I prepared and jarred the salsa for family members, served it at special events and continued eating it on a regular. Now here is where the story becomes cliche' family and friends began telling me how good it was compared to store bought brands and asked if I would be willing to make them private batches. Of coarse I was boiling over with pride, joy and anything else that could make one's ego soar. I began preparing made to order salsa for a lot and I mean a lot of people on my dime. Well, it did not take long before I realized I nor my bank account could continue gifting the product no matter how much my ego loved being stroked I was going broke. At this point I felt it was time to shut down the operation completely until I understood enough to approach it from more business like stand point. Over the next 4 years I studied, read articles or books having to do with food business I could get my hands on I literally became a sponge for information. I began searching for people to manufacture the product, I spoke to and met with successful people already doing the business, I absolutely spared no expense while going through this educational process.
In 2006 two events happened that became the turning point of my life; I incorporated my company, Sabrosa Foods Inc. and my daughter Ashley was born. Now having a manufacturing company, distribution company and product in hand it was time to sell, sell, sell. I obtained my first major grocery store contract in March 2007 approximately 23 stores not bad for my first attempt. Now the rest of the story that follows is my day to day story of making Sabrosa Foods Inc. a profitable or the most failed undertaking of my life.......
